TERMS & CONDITIONS - BRITISH MMA
Last updated: [01 JAN 2026]

1. Membership & Eligibility
1.1 Membership is open subject to capacity, suitability, and adherence to these Terms.
1.2 Under-18s must have a parent/guardian complete registration and accept these Terms on their behalf.
1.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel membership where behaviour, safety, or conduct standards are breached.

2. Payments, Fees & Cancellations
2.1 Membership fees are payable in advance via the agreed payment method.
2.2 If a payment fails, access may be suspended until the balance is cleared.
2.3 Cancellations require [e.g., 14 days] notice before the next billing date unless stated otherwise in your membership plan.
2.4 We do not provide refunds for missed sessions (including holidays/illness) unless required by law.

3. Health, Safety & Participation
3.1 Martial arts and fitness training carry inherent risks. You participate at your own risk.
3.2 You must disclose relevant medical conditions/injuries and follow coach instructions at all times.
3.3 We may modify or stop your participation if we believe continuing is unsafe.
3.4 Appropriate clothing and hygiene standards must be maintained. No jewellery during training.

4. Conduct & Club Culture
4.1 Respect is non-negotiable: coaches, students, parents, and staff.
4.2 Bullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or unsafe behaviour results in removal from the session and may lead to termination of membership.
4.3 Phones should not disrupt classes. Recording by members/parents is permitted only where it does not interfere with coaching or compromise safeguarding.

5. Photography & Videography (Marketing + Operational Use)
5.1 We routinely capture photos/video during classes and events for:
coaching feedback and quality control;
safeguarding/incident review where needed;
marketing and promotion (website, social media, posters, leaflets).
5.2 Real members, real training: we don’t use paid models. Our content reflects genuine classes and community, and social media is a key way new families find us.
5.3 How we film: most footage is general “class environment” content and not focused on one individual.
5.4 If you have concerns: you (or your child) can raise it with the head coach at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will:
avoid filming you/your child directly;
position you out of frame;
use non-identifying angles;
or blur faces for certain posts.
(Please note: we cannot control filming by other parents/spectators in public/shared spaces.)
5.5 Featured content: if we want to feature your child clearly (e.g., close-ups, interviews, spotlight posts), we will request explicit permission from a parent/guardian first.

6. Data Protection
6.1 We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy (see link).
6.2 You have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, and objection in certain cases.

7. Liability
7.1 We are not liable for loss/damage to personal property brought to the venue.
7.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes to Terms
8.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available via the link provided at signup.
